It’ll come as no surprise that we love women here at Boob.ie.  More than just lovely women in pictures, we love women with talent.  With so much mass produced pop music around these days and Simon Cowell pumping out more shite than a baby the morning after the night before, it’s more than refreshing to find some decent music.

First up, we have to mention a group that caught my ear well over a year ago.  I’ve listened to their album “Fruit” more times than is probably healthy for a man of my age.  I mean it’s not as if I’m a Boyzone fan trying to memorise their lyrics so that I can shout them back at the group at a gig.  It’s the combination of many things that make a band worth listening to, for me anyway, and maybe you’ll agree.

The lyrics might be described as abstract.  Which means that you either don’t know what the fuck is going on, or you can make up your own idea of what’s going on.  That doesn’t matter, as they’re backed up by great sounds and the voice of the super hot lead singer, Mette Lindberg.  She has a quirky and almost cooky voice that does those even crazier lyrics justice that another voice just couldn’t.

They released their debut album back in 2009 on their own label “Small Giants”.  If you’ve heard of them at all you probably know their choon, “Around the bend”.  Get your ear holes around this.  It’s got more than enough cow bell to keep Christopher Walken happy.

Next thing we’ll show you is their debut single “The sun ain’t shining no more”.  There are three versions of this song available to download.  An unplugged version, a version with just vocals and a guitar and this, the original studio version.

Finally, I just have to share my favourite song of theirs with you.  It’s called “The Golden Age”, it was used in a big advertising campaign in Australia, but aside from that boring piece of information all I can say is that it’s quite the opposite of bad.

We have to hand it to Mette for making it ok to listen to stuff that might be labelled as psychedelic pop.  We can always just say that we’re listening to a hot laydee.

The band are The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, and the album is “Fruit”.  Best place to go will be iTunes as your local music retailer will look at you like you’ve just pissed on their bagel when you ask for it.  Check it out.

Like that? Maybe you'll like these. Then again, maybe you won't. We're not fucking psychics you know.
