Sure you could be Batman, he’s minted too.  But he can’t fly or shoot flashy bolts from his hands and feet.  Plus Iron Man has a big thing in his chest to keep him alive.  If chicks dig scars, they must immediately moisten up quicker than a granny at a Daniel O’Donnell afternoon tea around his gaping chest hole.

Iron Man 2 is out next Friday 30th April, but we’ll have a review of it before then for you.

Until then, the PR machine that pushes movies like these is in overdrive.

While we won’t have the finance or the technological abilities to be Iron Man in our lifetime, we will have to make do with whatever we can.  I don’t mean building yourself a suit out of Meccano and strapping some fire extinguishers to your back to aid flight, we mean actually becoming Iron Man through augmented reality.

This afternoon Marvel & Paramount release this augmented reality app http://www.iamironman2.com that not only lets you see what you’d look like in the latest iteration of the Iron Man/ War Machine hardware but it also brings to life the internal HUD (Heads Up Display) through gesture recognition.

It’s mega.

I swear I thought I was Iron Man until the missus came in and found me trying to attach a flash-light in-between my man nipples for total effect.  It just spoiled it, especially when she reminded me of my age.

Pfft to age.

Stark Industries have finally released something into the world, and as always the tech savvy people of Japan were the first people to sample it.
