The Dead Flags are:
Billy Fitzgerald (guitar, vocals, keys)
Kevin Lowery (drums, percussion, vocals)
Dave Power (bass, percussion, vocals)
Sligo-born pop-punk masters The Dead Flags released their debut album, the blistering, energetic ‘Gentlemen’s Club’, on April 23rd in Ireland. The band have gone from strength to strength over the past 18 months, picking up rave reviews, national airplay and a growing legion of fans with their constant touring and the release of the singles “O My Love! O My God!!” and “Anymore” and EP We’ve Got The Ways And The Means.
Well at least that’s what they have about themselves on their Facebook page and their website.
The press certainly seem to love them. We heard about them here only this week if we’re honest and maybe we’re a little slow on the take up, but we’re here now and we like it.
Critics seem to gush over their sound and with a producer on board who has worked with the likes of The Frames and Fionn Regan (Karl Odlum), it wouldn’t be a total surprise that they should.
Chances are, and we hope we’re not being to presumptuous or insulting to you or the lads, that you have yet to hear of them either.
Anyway, it’s great to hear some quality music doing the rounds lately to contrast the shite that does the radio playlists these days.
Here’s a couple of videos form the Dead Flags. Given that videos are somewhat of a lost expense these days, their video for “Anymore” is quite snazzy. Well the start is anyway! We’re betting you’ll off to get their stuff on iTunes.
See you there.
We really fucking like The Dead Flags.
