We’re having a very Ubisoft themed week by the looks. This week saw the irst look at a sizeable chunk of gameplay footage for the upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The game has seen around 2 years worth of delays at this stage, so it’s up in the air as to whether it’ll be worth the wait.
Tom Clancy’s name has graced the titles and royalty cheques of some of gaming’s biggest series’, such as Rainbow 6 and Splinter Cell. The game follows on from the well received Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and its sequel, the first of which dropped jaws with its visuals when it was released shortly after the launch of the Xbox, and a host of other Ghost Recon games.
The original Advanced Warfighter game was great at the time but the last time we played it, the gameplay definitely felt a little on the clunky and dated side. It’ll be interesting to see if (fairly reliable) developers Ubisoft and Red Storm have changed the core gameplay that radically, or whether the changes amount to nothing more than using currently-in-prototype military toys.
Perhaps Ghost Recon: Dark Age Fighter would be an interesting idea… Anyway, Gaunt Raison: Farmer Whoredom is released on May 22nd in the US for Xbox 360, PSN and PC, with an EU release yet to be announced.
