Well lads and ladies, it’s been a while since I was here, but there’s still been tons of great stuff on the site, so I doubt I was missed too much!

By now, you’ve probably all seen the trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, but for those of you who haven’t (because of being too busy with Boobie Tuesday like we all were yesterday) then here it is:

Looks quite good doesn’t it?

There’s been lots of info coming off the set since it was announced, including set photos and such.  As good as it looks though, I can’t help thinking that they’re not completely behind their own conviction, getting the jump on the much more eagerly anticipated summer release of The Dark Knight Rises.

I’d love to see them go head to head, but in fairness, I know which one I’d be going to see first.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Yeah, but Batman goes up against Bane.

And in other super hero news, this is the Avengers trailer that aired during the Superbowl that seems to have slipped under most radars:

Oh, and in other news, Scarlett Johansson is going to try and direct her first film.  It’ll be a romantic comedy starring Joseph-Gordon whatshisname.

Contain yourselves.

Like that? Maybe you'll like these. Then again, maybe you won't. We're not fucking psychics you know.
